VAUXHALL MOVANO Tipper/Dropside
The Vauxhall Movano is available as a Tipper and Dropside conversion and makes the perfect chassis cab for this type of vehicle.
With a 5 stage chrome plated underfloor ramp and a 50 degree tip angle, the Movano Tipper is a high performing vehicle with many features. The tipping mechanism is easy to operate by a single person and comes with a tipping warning buzzer. The Movano Tipper is available in two lengths which are the L2 and L3 chassis cab and can be either the single or double cab.
With the option to have either front wheel or rear wheel drive or the heavy duty twin wheel drive the vehicle comes in two gross weights - 3.5 or 4.5 tonne. The Tipper has a payload capacity of 1,122kg with the 3.5 tonne model. The platform is 3,205mm long and 2,040mm wide. The platform is steel as is the front panel and the tailboard is hinged at the top and bottom and the tipper can be operated via remote control.
The Dropside is available in 3 load lengths which are the L2, L3 and L4 and like the Movano Tipper has a gross vehicle weight of 3.5 or 4.5 tonne. The 3.5 tonne versions has a payload capacity of 1,462kg and its features include a steel load platform and resin coated wooden floor. The removable, anodized, aluminium side and tailboards have a removable rear post and retractable lashing eyes in the deck edging.
It may be a mighty vehicle but the Movano offers the driver comfort and space for those that spend a large amount of their day at the wheel. The cabin doubles up as an office with plenty of storage solutions and a handy desk that folds out from the central seat - big enough to hold a 15.6" laptop. From Vauxhall comes their Intellilink technology which offers great connectivity features like Bluetooth and sat nav which can be operated from the steering wheel mounted controls. The driver's seat and steering column are adjustable to enable the driver to be as comfortable as possible.
The Movano comes with a choice of 2.3 CDTi diesel engines which give great fuel economy and performance. The 3 power options on offer are 100hp, 125hp and 150hp although the Tipper and Dropside need the power offered by the larger engines. The engines, like the rest of the range, are chain-driven rather than belt-driven and the 6 speed manual gearbox is standard.
