Peugeot Commercial Vehicles
The Peugeot range is recognised as one of the more popular European brands having been producing vehicles since the 19th century. They have consistently worked to cement their position as one of the key players in the automotive market since this time. The Peugeot commercial range consists of just 4 vehicles, The Bipper, Partner Expert and Boxer. This may be a small range in comparison to some of the other manufacturers but it offers more than enough to get the job done. For the tradesman, delivery business or small business owner the Peugeot range has the right vehicle for the job. Load space volumes range from 2.8 cubic metres with the Peugeot Bipper to the 17 cubic metre capacity of the Boxer. The Peugeot may have small range but it definitely has a lot to offer.
Peugeot vans are spacious, reliable and affordable and designed with the driver's comfort in mind with spacious cabins that are well designed and features to make life easier for the driver who is constantly on the go. As well as being spacious and comfortable these vans are also fuel efficient and economic and their load spaces are on a par with other commercial vans in their field.
First in the Peugeot commerical range is the Peugeot Bipper which, with its 1.3 litre diesel engine has 75hp. The fuel economy of this nippy urban run around is up to 62.8mpg although expect low - mid 50's when commuting through towns and cities with many starts and stops. The Partner engine offers more choice with a 1.6 litre VTI or a 1.6 litre BlueHDi 75hp or 100hp. The 100hp engine comes with 3 options - the 100, the 100 Stop-Start and the 100 Stop-Start ETG6.
From the lower end of the range to the higher powered, larger vehicle end of the range is the Boxer engine with a choice of 2.2HDi 110, 130 OR 150hp engine or a 3.0 HDi with 180hp. A fuel economy of approximately 33-48 mpg can be achieved with the Boxer range with C02 emissions of 485 - 189 g/km. Of course this all varies largely on the type of engine, the load being carried and the way that the vehicle is driven.
There are 3 types of trim available on the Peugeot Bipper which is a comfortable vehicle with everything one would expect in a lightweight van. It is comfortable and efficient and although small and comfortable it is also spacious enough for the taller driver. For even greater comfort there are optional driver packs that can be added with features such as driver seat height adjustment, armrest and lumbar support. With the larger Peugeot Boxer there are more considerations for the driver who spends a large amount of their time in the vehicle such as power assisted steering, electric door mirrors, electric front windows, and a central dash folding clipboard. With the Professional trim extras include rear parking aid and a sat nav integrated into a touch screen.
For drivers who are constantly on the go this van doubles up as an office with features designed to increase efficiency. These features include a fold down central seat for resting a laptop or even lunch, clipboard to secure paperwork - especially handy on a windy day and integrated cup holders. There are many handy storage solutions to keep things secure and out of sight like a drawer which folds out under the driver seat.
Safety features of the Peugeot range include Advanced Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) as standard across the range. If you want features such as side airbags, Thatcham alarm, automatic rain and light sensors and automatic lights then option packs can be added. For added safety when major deceleration occurs the hazard lights will be automatically activated. These safety features make the Peugeot not only efficient, affordable and comfortable but also their safety competes with others in their class.
