Isuzu Utility Vehicles

Isuzu are better known as a truck manufacturer as opposed to a producer of commercial vehicles and their only offering in the light utility market is the D-Max Pickup truck. The Isuzu D-Max Pickup was introduced in 2002 and is built in Thailand. It is a popular pickup truck across the globe in countries like New Zealand and Australia where it goes by a different name. It is a tough terrain vehicle built to deal with many different terrains, activities and heavy duty, dirtier jobs. With a variety of cab options the D-Max makes the ideal leisure vehicle with a double cab version perfect for transporting a family and the camping equipment for a week under canvas. The double cab does compromise on space but still allows you load volume to transport a smaller load.

As well as the single cab 4x2 version and the single cab 4x4 there is also an extended cab and double cab. The D-Max pickup is the perfect, all terrain commercial vehicle, not only does it handle tough terrains and dirty jobs there are also a huge range of extra options to enable you to tailor the vehicle to your needs.

All models of the Isuzu D-Max pickup truck come with Advanced Braking System, Electronic Stability Control and traction control as standard and even the basic trim come with front, side and curtain airbags. 4x4 can be selected whilst on the move if you should suddenly encounter tricky or slippery terrain with no time to stop and prepare.

The cabin is fairly basic but it is comfortable and spacious. A tough vehicle needs a tough trim and everything is made from durable, wipe clean plastic - perfect for farm use and building yards. The trim improves as you move up through the vehicle specs although standard features includr air-con, electric windows and adjustable headrests. As you add on extras and improve the spec options like alloy wheels, reading lights and daytime running lights become available. Like the basics of the cabin with some features as standard, the technology improves as you move up through the range to include Bluetooth and other media functions. The higher spec vehicles offer leather seats, parking sensors and roof bars.

The 2.5 litre diesel engine in 163hp is the only choice of engine with the D-Max although it does come with a choice of either 5 or 6 speed manual transmission. The fuel consumption is good and CO2 emissions are low for this type of vehicle.
